Building the quiz (in the library)
Click “Add materials” and choose Quiz.

Set an title and click “Add & Build Quiz”.

Building the quiz (in the course builder)
Click on the plus sign and choose “Quiz”.

Name the quiz and click “Add & Build Quiz”.

Editing the quiz
Set a page title and an (optional) description
Set a section title and (optional) description
Write your question in the “Question title” box

If the question only has one correct answer, choose “Single answer” and if it has multiple correct answers, choose “Multiple answer”. Select the correct answer/s by checking the box “Correct answer”
To add a new question, click “+Question” and choose what type of question you wish to add.
Adding media to your questions, such as images, videos, or audio files, is possible. Simply click on the media you wish to add under the question title.
Quiz settings
Under “Settings” is where you set the scoring type, the general settings, and an overall rationale.
“Scoring type”
”Count total number of correct questions”:
Multiple choice questions: the user will get +1 point when she/he chooses one or more correct alternatives and -1 point when she/he chooses one or more wrong alternatives. The maximum scoring for this kind of question is +1 and the minimum is 0 points.
Single choice questions: the user will get +1 point for each correct answer and 0 points for wrong answers.

”Count the total number of points for all answers”:
Multiple choice questions: the user will get the sum of the points you have entered as ”value" in ”Settings” for the chosen alternatives.
Single choice questions: the user will get the number of points you have entered as ”value" in ”Settings” for the chosen alternative.


“General”
Show answers for review before submitting: The participants will be able to see what they have answered
Allow retaking the quiz multiple times: The participants will be able to take the quiz more than one time
Show answers when the quiz has been completed: The participants will be able to see their answers when they have completed the quiz
Automatically generated report: A report will automatically be generated
Make response anonymous in report: The participants’ names will not be visible in the report
“Rationale”
Rationale for completed quiz: Text shown to participants who passed the test
Rationale for failed quiz: Text shown to participants who failed the test
