LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) is a standard that enables seamless integration between learning platforms and external tools or content providers. It allows for secure exchange of data, such as user information and course content, between different systems. LTI 1.3 improves upon earlier versions by offering enhanced security features* for secure communication.

This integration makes it easier to seamlessly incorporate interactive components from your preferred tools into your courses in Learnifier, enriching how learners engage with the content.

Setting up: Step-by-Step Guide

Note: The steps and settings may vary slightly depending on the LTI provider you are using.

1. Go to Connect LMS

2. Go to Add LMS Connection.

3. Choose Other under connection options and save.

  • JSON Web Key Set URL

4. Click Register Tool.

5. Open Platform Configuration and leave this information on the screen for use in the next step.

Back to Your LTI Provider Tab (H5P):

1. Go to the Connection Settings page.

2. Add the information from the Platform Configuration in Learnifier to the appropriate fields( for the field labeled Deployment ID in Learnifier: you’ll get this in the next step).

  • Important: Carefully follow the instructions in Learnifier for each field.

3. Leave the remaining fields blank and press Save.

4. Go to New Deployment and add the Deployment ID from Learnifier.

Once the connection is complete, you’ll be able to integrate and manage interactive components from your LTI provider within Learnifier.
