The setting Module accessible when controls whether you want to keep Modules locked until certain conditions are met. There are seven conditions to choose from:
Always accessible - The module will always be accessible for participants.
Previous module completed - The module will be accessible when the previous module has been completed by the participant.
All previous modules completed - Same as above condition, except the check is done for all previous modules.
Previous module completed and passed - In addition to check if previous module has been completed, we also check if the module has been "passed" if it contains any components that can be passed or failed. Currently only quiz components can be passed or failed.
All previous module completed and passed - Same as above condition, except the check is done for all previous modules.
Set date - Unlock the module on a specific date. You will be asked to enter this date when you publish the course design created in your project. The date can also be set by going to the course tab in projects and clicking on the button Set required course details.
Days before/after event - The module is unlocked a specified number of days before or after an event in the course. See next section for a detailed description of this option.
More about condition Days before/after event
This option is used to specify that the module will be unlocked a number of days before or after an event in the course.
When selecting this option, two additional fields become visible:
1. Date relative to - A dropdown with all events that has been added to the course.
2. Days - Number of days before or after the event.
When the course is published, each event in the course is given a start date and time, and an end date and time.
* If you specify a negative number of days, the module is unlocked that number of days before the start date of the event at midnight.
* If you specify zero or positive number of days, the module is unlocked that number of days after the end date of the event at midnight.
It is not possible to enable the module at a day during the event if it is a multi-day event.
